...here’s your answer.
The part sent requires an eight prong plug on top. My truck needs a three prong. Le sigh. I give up. I don’t have the time nor the money to toss at a beater truck to make a warning light turn off.

Meh, just pull the bulb. If my 16 year old brother can drive a car that doesn’t have ABS or Traction Control from the factory, I think you’ll be fine.

Yeah and I only drive the truck around 1,000 miles a year if that. So it’s not a big deal. I just took a chance on this OEM module I found on eBay since it was so cheap.

Plus, when you’re in there to pull the bulb, you can change the blown out cluster bulbs!

You know what’d be really cheap, is if the old module can be easily fixed. From what I’ve read (my Sierra’s ABS is still working for now, so I haven’t had to do this on mine yet) other owners have had their modules fail, and all they had to do was re-solder some joints inside the module. Sounds easy. If you open yours up, you might be able to spot what’s wrong with it.

I pulled the old module off today and looked at it and I can’t see anything wrong with it. It’s remarkably clean. But I guess if something needed to be re-soldered, it’d be hard to see with the naked eye.

Maybe. Depends on how hard you look, I guess. I really haven’t dug that deep into my truck yet, since the module is still working for now. But I do recall seeing a couple of forum threads talking about it, so if/when the time comes, I’m gonna find those threads again and use a magnifying glass to check out both sides of the circuit board real good.

how do you like your S10? I have the opportunity to inherit a 2004 S10 from my grandparents. RWD, I4, super clean.

Mine’s a ‘95 4.3 4WD. It has 171,400 miles and about 25 little minor things wrong with it but it doesn’t have much rust and the 4-wheel-drive works. So, it’s a great beater truck. I drive it when it snows or when there’s a threat of severe weather (hail).
